Local governments are increasingly exploring AI to support internal functions such as data analysis, document management, and knowledge retention. When implemented thoughtfully, these tools can improve efficiency and decision-making, particularly during periods of workforce transition. Their effectiveness, however, depends on clear policy guidance, staff training, and alignment with organizational capacity. As such, AI is best viewed as a supportive resource rather than a standalone solution, requiring deliberate integration into existing processes.
